Abstract

This thesis explores how the ontology and perception of value within communities influence the design of technologies used to coordinate social direction. It explores whether digital systems like DAOs and blockchain can address the structural limitations of traditional governance, including bureaucracy, manipulated consensus, and centralized power. From a systemic view and grounded in principles from cybernetics and complexity science, this work emphasizes the need to develop incentive systems centered on life as a shared organizing principle. As a response, it proposes a user experience design solution called Indra: a reciprocity platform and favor-exchange network where individual interest and personal benefit are redirected toward collective well-being. The more one contributes to the community, the more one gains in return. Methodologically, this work combines theoretical analysis, competitive benchmarking, qualitative research, and design techniques. It situates the project within the field of UX design for social interaction systems. Expanded Synergy offers both a technical-structural analysis of current governance and economic models and an ontological proposal for reorganizing human forces around life as the highest shared value. In this framework, technology is not the goal but the medium; the goal is to find more sustainable, reliable, and inclusive ways to make social synergies that improve life well-being.
