About Sara Luna

Sara Luna Ruiz Montoya is a UX/UI and Product Designer from Medellín, Colombia, based in Berlin. She is the founder of an early-stage digital venture focused on reciprocity and access for creative and migrant communities called Indra. Alongside her product practice, she lectures in UX/UI, AI prototyping, computational design, and creative technologies in Germany.

With over four years of experience in the UXUI field, sara has working in end-to-end design processes with international teams and organizations across the Americas and Europe. From problem framing and KPI definition to testing, design systems, and developer handoff, she transforms complex needs into intuitive, scalable, and socially meaningful digital products. Her work has delivered measurable results, including up to 40% greater task efficiency, 25% higher engagement, and approximately 30% faster design sprint cycles.

Sara holds an MSc in Visual Experience Design, completed with distinction (92/100) and awarded Best Master’s Project & Thesis. Her work has also earned recognition in product innovation, technology, entrepreneurship, and social impact, including her 2026 selection for the EXIST-Women programme with Indra and creative talent awards in Colombia.

What I do

01

Discovery

I define the problem before designing the solution. Framing sessions and stakeholder mapping trace the challenge to its structural root.

02

User Research

I lead qualitative research grounded in evidence. Interviews with residents surfaced the pain points that defined the redesign.

Interaction & UI

I design flows where every state and transition is intentional, keeping research evidence attached to each product decision.

Visual & Data Design

I make complex systems legible. Migration journeys became navigable narratives instead of statistics.

Prototyping

I prototype to validate concepts with real users before development, testing behaviors early and cheaply.
